I was so encouraged to read Diane’s blog about the big day. What a breath of fresh air to read how she is feeling about increasing her physical activity and being more mindful of what she eats.
I, however, am not quite there (yet.) Although I did write down some physical goals this year, I’ve managed to put off the “limited sweets” diet plan a few more weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I’m wearing my new Fitbit and targeting the 10,000 steps per day, but I fully recognize that my mindset is not ready to make too many activity and diet changes. I’m thinking perhaps after Valentine’s Day….
So thank you Diane for sharing from your heart. You’ll be much lighter by the time I’m ready to eliminate sweets and return to the gym. For all my blogger friends, whatever your physical goals are this year (month, day or hour), keep striving and give it your best shot! Everything is more fun when you’re feeling good and our bodies function much better with some movement. Oh…and as I’ve been gently reminded lately, my “age group” requires 8 hours of sleep to lose weight. So off I go for the night – have a blessed, purposeful, step-filled day!
